What Is Everyone Missing Regarding "Last Supper" Parody At The Olympics?

Like many people, I agree that the “Last Supper” parody at the opening ceremonies in Paris, France is a mockery of Christianity; but what is really being depicted in this theatrical display of foolishness? This is a complete showcase of sexual perversions, gluttony, orgies of merrymaking, idol worship, and a host of other sins described in the Bible. The Lord Himself said in Exodus 20:23, “You shall not make other gods besides Me; gods of silver or gods of gold, you shall not make for yourselves.” This repulsive parody puts the Greek god Dionysus on full display. The Greek god Dionysus represents the god of wine and pleasure, ritual madness and insanity. Sounds familiar in the world we live in today where most of us would rather seek the god of our belly and pursue our own sensual appetites at our own peril.

Gluttony and feminism is front and center in their portrayal of Christ. Who thought that parading an obese female as Christ is a good idea? The Lord Himself is always spoken of in the masculine in the Bible. Furthermore, all the disciples were men and not women. Feminism is on full display in an effort to usurp God's supreme authority regarding the roles of men and women. Obesity is celebrated as some badge of honor when the Lord clearly warns us of the danger of being overweight and gluttonous in Philippians 3:19, “whose end is destruction, whose god is their appetite, and whose glory is in their shame, who set their minds on earthly things.”

The deeds of the flesh are on full display in varied forms of immorality, effeminate men, masculine women, homosexuality, sensuality, carousing, drunkenness and the like. The Lord Himself warns us in Galatians 5:21 “...that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.” Anyone that gives hearty approval and excuses away this type of behavior as being “inclusive” is on a fast track to hell as the Lord Himself just stated in Galatians.

No religion in the world today is subject to such hatred and persecution than Christianity. This proves beyond any doubt that Christianity is the only true religion in the world today. This is evidenced by what Christ said in John 15:18-19, “If the world hates you, you know that it has hated Me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, because of this the world hates you.” Statistically speaking, roughly 2 billion people in the world claim to be a “Christian,” but in reality a fraction of these are true Christians as stated in Matthew 7:14, “For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.”

I find it appalling that no Christian religious leaders in America have openly denounced such a blasphemous display of sin shown in the “Last Supper” parody at the Olympic opening ceremonies in Paris, France. There is no good reason to remain silent other than preserving your own selfish god-like persona or fear of offending someone with the truth. This should cause any church pastor across America to issue a strong rebuke and exhortation to their congregation regarding the seriousness of sin and its consequences. Unfortunately, this will be a rare occurrence as most men would rather please man rather than God. Anyone that is unwilling to speak to such an event as this among their friends and family should take seriously what God says in Luke 9:26, “For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when He comes in His glory, and the glory of the Father and of the holy angels.”
